We typically engage in platform deployments and tune-ups with a specific team of full-time SharePoint consultants over a time period that we work with you upfront to define. Coming out of the engagement is a fully deployed SharePoint environment that is tailored to your needs, with a master work schedule defined and in place for upcoming SharePoint efforts to keep your investment in line with your users’ needs.
We would like to think that all of our customers call us when the word “SharePoint” comes up. However, the majority of SharePoint work we do is often after a deployment is underway, or has finished. Approximately 60% of the SharePoint engagements we have completed are either finishing an effort that an internal team could not complete or performing a remediation effort when another SharePoint partner could not get the job done.
We’ve gotten good at it – in fact, we often offer services just to get SharePoint back on its feet for customers who have a hard time getting it to work for them. Sometimes this can be as simple as setting some throughput settings on SQL Server. Most of the time, though, it requires going back to square one and defining those common sense items that all too often get missed. By setting a comprehensive baseline, it is often simple to identify where the problems occur, and what can and should be done about it.
SharePoint is not easy, and the benefits of its correct use are enormous. This leads to a lot of errant implementations. Contact us if you feel that SharePoint is not living up to its potential.
